Powerful gusts of wind brought down the stage rigging at the Indiana State Fair tonight, resulting in at least five deaths and scores of injuries shortly before a Sugarland concert.
The country duo was safely underground when the stage rig fell over at the Indiana State Fair killing four. Crew members instantly “jumped into the pit and moved rubble,” says a backstage observer. “It's just heartbreaking."
